Short, because we collect only what the service needs.

On the waitlist

Your email address, whether you signed up as a dog owner or as a walker, and — only if you choose to share them — your name, a phone or WhatsApp number, and the area you're in. That's all the website collects.

In the app (private beta)

If you create an account in the Dog-Out! app, we additionally store: your email and password (the password is hashed by our auth provider — we never see it), your name, your dog's name, breed, size, care notes and any medical note you add, the pickup address you enter plus the access details that go with it (apartment, floor, buzzer or gate code), the neighbourhood you name, an emergency contact, any one-off note you write for a specific walk, and a record of each walk you request — its timeline, duration and price — which we keep as a financial record.

What the walker sees, and when: before accepting a walk they see only the neighbourhood and your dog. Once they accept, they see your street address, your access details, your dog's name and that walk's note — they need them to reach your door — and that access ends when the walk does. Photos a walker takes during a walk stay on the walker's own phone in this beta; nothing is uploaded, and they are deleted when the walk ends.

Just as important, what we do NOT collect yet: no payment cards (there are no real payments in the beta), and no GPS or location tracking — the in-app map is an illustration, not your route. When real GPS, photo uploads or payments launch, this policy gets rewritten first and you'll see the new version before any of it turns on.

What we use it for

To run the walks you request, to email you — or, if you shared a phone number, message you — about the Dog-Out! launch and your spot on the waitlist, and to use the area answers in aggregate to decide which zone we open in first.

We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Ever.

Where it lives

Waitlist entries and app data are stored with Supabase (US-hosted), emails are delivered through Resend, and the website runs on Vercel — all three act only on our instructions. App data is protected with row-level security: your records are readable only by your own account. Traffic analytics are aggregate and cookie-free.

Deleting your data

Waitlist: reply to any email we send you, or write to admin@dogoutapp.com, and we'll delete your entry. That's it — no forms, no questions.

App account: tap Profile → Delete account inside the app. Your name, address, access details, neighbourhood, emergency contact, dog profile and any walk notes are erased immediately, and the account is locked so nobody can sign back into it. Two things deliberately survive: the walk records themselves, anonymized, because they are the financial books; and the sign-in email address, until the account is removed from our auth provider in the ops pass that follows — write to admin@dogoutapp.com if you want that expedited and we'll confirm when it's done.
